Stefanie’s passion for dance began at the age of seven years when she enrolled in her first dance class at Dance FX here in Ponoka. Three years later, she began training at Got 2 Dance Productions, where she stayed until she graduated in 2017. Throughout her eight years at G2D, Stefanie trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, acrobatics, variety, pointe, tap and musical theatre. While a competitive dancer, Stefanie was the recipient of many awards including Intermediate Triple Threat, Dedicated Dancer, Top Soloist, Overall Passion Award, Vibe Scholarship, Senior Groove Street Scholarship, and many onstage awards. In addition, she was awarded the Overall Top Advanced Soloist and received a scholarship to Harbour Dance Center in Vancouver. While in Vancouver, she soaked up her experience by taking a large variety of classes from many inspiring choreographers. In April 2021, Stefanie received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. While attending university, she was a member of MOD Contemporary Dance Movement. This opportunity allowed her to continue training in all styles of dance and brought forward many choreography and performance opportunities; this included annual auditions, video projects, photoshoots, performances at various banquets and events across Edmonton, and professional company showcases. Throughout her four years as a member of this company, she grew as an artist and performer and developed a love for choreographing. Stefanie is very excited to get back into the studio for her fourth season with us and share her immense passion for movement with her upcoming students.
