Gjenna Saretsky

Gjenna Saretsky

Studio Owner/Recreational & Performing Arts Instructor

Gjenna grew up dancing in Ponoka as a member of the Ponoka Dance Company for 12 years where she studied jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, hip hop, variety and musical theatre, and this marks her tenth year of co-owning G2D. Gjenna has been a dance instructor for over 15 years, choreographing routines in all of the above disciplines, with numerous choreography awards for her work. She also studied ballet at the Red Deer College Conservatory Ballet, completing ballet examinations in the Checcetti technique. Gjenna has also trained in the ADAPT syllabus and has traveled around Canada, taking classes from some of the dance world’s top choreographers, and recently achieved her certification in the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. Gjenna also has a degree in Public Relations through Mount Royal University.
Anne-Alisa Wiancko

Studio Owner/Recreational & Performing Arts Instructor

Dance has been a major part of Anne-Alisa’s life for over 20 years, and this year marks her tenth year of co-owing G2D. She was a student in Ponoka for nine years where she trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop and musical theatre. Anne-Alisa has been a dance instructor for 15 years teaching in both Red Deer and Ponoka. In this time, Anne-Alisa choreographed routines in all the above styles and has numerous choreography awards to her credit. Over the years Anne-Alisa has had the opportunity to train in a variety of exciting locations including New York City, Las Vegas and throughout Canada. She has also taken classes from world renowned choreographers such as Tyce Diorio and Luther Brown from the hit television show So You Think You Can Dance. She continues to expand her dance repertoire with training in such specialty dance forms as bellydance, West African and has trained in the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT) syllabus. In addition, Anne-Alisa is certified in the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus. Anne-Alisa has earned a degree through the University of Alberta, Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Alexis Bracuk

Alexis Bracuk

Performing Arts ballet, pointe & musical theatre instructor

Alexis has been dancing since the age of three. She grew up dancing in Edmonton at Dance Extreme, Dance Unlimited and the Edmonton School of Ballet. She has also danced semi-professionally for Edmonton’s City Ballet and Chameleon Dance Edmonton, while earning her diploma in Applied Banking and Business from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Alexis found her passion in teaching and inspiring young dancers. For the past 14 years, she has taught everything from ballet, lyrical, modern, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, variety and tap. She is certified from the Edmonton School of Ballet Junior Grades, Classical Ballet Progressions of Canada, and is working on her ADAPT and Acrobatique certifications. Alexis has taught at Dance Unlimited for three years and at the Riverbend Academy of Dance for eight. She is currently the Ballet Director at Amanda’s Academy of Dance in Edmonton. As well, Alexis is an instructor at another studio in the Edmonton area, teaching a total of 300 students. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys performing at the Edmonton Fringe Festival. She has performed in Anya: A Russian Fairytale (2015), Dovbush: The Legend of the Carpathians (2016), Captain Roberts (2017), and is preparing for Psyche: A Vision of Beauty in the summer of 2018.
Stefanie Hatala

Stefanie Hatala

Performing Arts contemporary & acro instructor

Stefanie’s passion for dance began at the age of seven years when she enrolled in her first dance class at Dance FX here in Ponoka. Three years later, she began training at Got 2 Dance Productions, where she stayed until she graduated in 2017. Throughout her eight years at G2D, Stefanie trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, modern, acrobatics, variety, pointe, tap and musical theatre. In addition, she was a student teacher and Kinderdance instructor. While a competitive dancer, Stefanie was the recipient of many awards including Intermediate Triple Threat, Dedicated Dancer, Top Soloist, Overall Passion Award, Vibe Scholarship, Senior Groove Street Scholarship, and many onstage awards. In addition, she was awarded the Overall Top Advanced Soloist and received a scholarship to Harbour Dance Center in Vancouver. While in Vancouver, she soaked up her experience by taking a large variety of classes from many inspiring choreographers. In April 2021, Stefanie received her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta. While attending university, she was a member of MOD Contemporary Dance Movement. This opportunity allowed her to continue training in all styles of dance and brought forward many choreography and performance opportunities; this included annual auditions, video projects, photoshoots, performances at various banquets and events across Edmonton, and professional company showcases. Throughout her four years as a member of this company, she grew as an artist and performer and developed a love for choreographing. Stefanie is very excited to get into the studio and share her immense passion for movement with her upcoming students.

Megan Veary

Megan Veary

Recreational instructor

Megan began dancing at the age of four years old in Ponoka for the Ponoka Dance Company where she studied ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe, hip hop, contemporary and musical theatre. She received multiple awards and scholarships throughout her competitive dance years. Megan taught the Recreational program at G2D from 2011-2015 and is so happy to be back teaching. She is excited to bring her love of dance to all her G2D students. When she isn’t teaching dance, Megan is a design consultant for Jessie-Jayne Design. Welcome back, Miss Megan!

Daniel Andries

Daniel Andries

Performing Arts Hip Hop instructor

Daniel Andries is one of the driving forces behind the Hip-Hop dance scene in Edmonton, as a choreographer for many studios across Canada and as a member of the professional crew White Chocolate. White Chocolate have performed for numerous recording artists such as; Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Ashanti, Ginuwine, Sean Paul, Kreesha Turner, The Game, Nelly Furtado, Obie Trice, 112, Boyz II Men, Fabolous, K-Ci & JoJo, Chingy, Sean Desmond, Massari, Gary Beals, Rochester, Fabolous, and Snoop Dogg.  White Chocolate have been featured as the only Hip-Hop group set to perform for Alberta’s Centennial event where the Queen of England was in attendance.  White Chocolate have performed alongside Jabbawockeez, Supreme Soul, Fanny Pak, and Super Crew from America’s Best Dance Crew.  Daniel has starred in the hit music video “Bounce With Me” by Kreesha Turner which was directed by world renowned director Little X. Daniel was a part of the tour called Hip-Hop Saved My Life which toured across mainland China.  Daniel teaches at workshops across North America, Mexico and China and continues to help educate and teach across his hometown of Edmonton.  Daniel was also a featured dancer in the Hollywood movie “Lullaby for Pi”.
