Recreational Program

The Recreational Program is designed for students with an interest in dance, but do not want or are not ready for the time commitment associated with participating in competitions. It is great for students who are trying out dance for the first time. Recreational Program students dance from September through May and typically participate in two shows throughout the year. Rec Students do not participate in any festivals, but have the chance to take classes that venture into different varieties of dance styles – for the fun of it! Classes run once per week, with each class 30 to 45 minutes in length.

Kinderdance

For the little ones! Kinderdance is a program designed for three to four year olds and includes a mix of ballet, jazz and creative movement with song and dance. Monthly themes are incorporated into class learning as we explore the world of dance!

Lesson fee rate: $60/month | Costume fee: $70

Class time options:

Kinder I: Mondays, 4 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Kinder II: Mondays, 5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Kinder III: Tuesdays, 5 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Kinder IV: Thursdays, 4:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Mini Movers & Groovers: Jazz & Ballet combo

A program dedicated for five and six year olds. Classes are 45 minutes/week with the season split evenly into learning jazz and ballet.

Lesson fee rate: $65/month | Costume fee: $70

Class time options:

Mini Movers & Groovers I: Mondays, 4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Mini Movers & Groovers II: Thursdays, 4:15 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Movers & Groovers: Jazz & Acro combo

A program dedicated for seven to nine year olds. Classes are 45 minutes/week with the season split evenly into learning jazz and acro.

Lesson fee rate: $65/month | Costume fee: $70

Class time: Mondays, 6:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.

Recreational Hip Hop

A program for students eight years and up who are interested in trying out hip hop, just for the fun of it! Hip Hop is a fast, high-energy type of dance. Elements of street, popping, locking, and breaking are incorporated in this style of dance.

Lesson fee rate: $70/month | Costume fee: $70

Class time: Mondays, 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

Adult Hip Hop

For the adults! This class focuses on hip hop all season long and will have three performance opportunities – two recitals and one festival! No dance experience is required. The goal is to get up, get moving and have fun.

Lesson fee rate: $110/month

Class time: Mondays, 7:15 p.m. – 8:15 p.m.
